Mr. Andrew Young, Principal

Principal
Mr. Young is in his 8th year in administration.  He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Augusta State University.  He received his M.Ed and Ed.S in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College.  He has 12 years of passionate teaching experience in the area of high school mathematics.  His teaching experience ranges from teaching support math up through AP Calculus.  Mr. Young has a passion for developing students to become life-long learners.  This is Mr. Young’s 3rd year at Grovetown High School, and he is very excited about working with the students, parents, and community of Grovetown!

Mr. Jeremy Davis, Assistant Principal

Dr. Jeremy Davis is a returning Warrior. Dr. Davis taught in the Math Department for two years at GTHS before entering administration. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Georgia, M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Georgia Southern University, Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Augusta University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University. Before teaching in Columbia County, Dr. Davis taught at the International School of Kabul in Kabul, Afghanistan, and in the Atlanta area. Dr. Davis looks forward to working with students, parents, and the Grovetown community to continue the great Warrior traditions. Warriors Lead the Way!

Nichole Lewis earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) and her Master's and Educational Specialist's degrees from Augusta State University. This is her seventeenth year in education. She began her career working with students with disabilities and has also served as a Math Teacher and Graduation Coach. She is passionate about helping students achieve academic success and seeing them fulfill their potential as contributing citizens. The thing Mrs. Lewis loves most about being at Grovetown High is that she is investing in the community where she lives. Warriors Lead the Way!

Mrs. Keona Sanders graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from The University of South Carolina Aiken in 2002 and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin University in 2007 in Nacogdoches, TX. This will be her third year as a GTHS Warrior but her 21st year in education. She began teaching in Columbia, SC, and then moved to Houston, TX where she taught grades 8-12 and coached cheerleading and step teams. In 2016, she moved to Oklahoma City and became the Secondary Language Arts Coordinator for Oklahoma City Public Schools. After deciding to move back to the CSRA in 2019, Mrs. Sanders taught in Columbia County for two years before entering leadership here at Grovetown High School. Warriors Lead the Way!

Assistant Principal
 
This is Mr. Levens' 13th year in education and first as a Grovetown Warrior. He received his B.A. in Communications from the University of South Carolina-Aiken, an M.A.T. from Augusta University and his Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University. Prior to coming to GTHS, he taught Social Studies at both Harlem High School and Greenbrier High School, as well as serving as a Department Chair, Graduation Coach, Instructional Technology Specialist, Student Council advisor and football coach. He is very excited to be a warrior and looks forward to working with students, faculty and the community to make sure GTHS always leads the way.
Mrs Ashlely Prince, Assistant Principal

This is Mrs. Prince’s 22 year in Education and her first year as a Warrior.  She graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry.  She also holds a Master of Science degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska and a Leadership degree from Georgia College and State University.  Mrs. Prince has served Columbia County School District as a science teacher, graduation specialist, instructional technology specialist, and assistant principal.  She is passionate about working with all stakeholders to ensure that Grovetown High School students are inspired to continue leading the way in all of their post-secondary endeavors.  Warriors Lead the Way!
Mr. Zachary Watson
Assistant Principal
 

Mr. Watson graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2014 with a Bachelor's in History, minors in Political Science and Sociology. He then attended the University of Georgia where he obtained his Masters in Secondary Social Studies Education and then Augusta University where he obtained his Specialist in Educational Leadership. Mr. Watson is a first-year administrator at Grovetown High School but is no stranger to the Warrior Nation as he served as the AP Government and Politics teacher, PBIS Coach, and Business Athletic Director at Grovetown High School before moving into his new role. Mr. Watson hopes to inspire and drive students to be the best versions of themselves each and every day and is excited to work with the best students, teachers, and staff in the Columbia County School District. Warriors Lead the Way!

Mr. Marty Jackson
Athletic Director

Marty Jackson is in his 23rd year as an Athletic Director and his 8th year at Grovetown High School.  Mr. Jackson graduated From Auburn University with a BS in Education Health/PE and received his Master of Education/Athletic Administration from Auburn University in 1985.  He earned his Education Specialist in PE/Athletic Administration from Georgia Southern in 1993.  His coaching career began at Auburn University in 1982, and he has continued to coach at various schools and universities as well as worked as an athletic director for some of those schools.  After moving to Augusta in 1992, he spent one year at Hephzibah High School coaching Football and teaching Physical Education. Mr. Jackson was Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Aquinas High School from 1993-2002 and Head Football Coach at Evans High School from 2003-2014 before joining Grovetown High School as Athletic Director in 2015.  Mr. Jackson wants our Warrior Athletes to be resilient, resourceful, and relentless in their pursuit of excellence.
