Welcome to Mr. Speed's homepage for AP U.S. History and CP U.S. History. Please click the links at the top of the page to take you to your specific class page. The drop-down menus will take you to the class syllabus, class calendar, information, and specific units of study we will cover throughout the year. I look forward to an enjoyable year of learning for all of us.

I will use email and Google Classroom to communicate with students, and most of my communication with students will go through the "stream" feature on Google Classroom. All assignments for students will be given out in class AND posted using Google Classroom. I will place the codes for Google Classroom under the respective page for each class, and I will post the code for each class during the first week of school.
Parents, PLEASE take the time to look at your student's Google Classroom page. This is the best way to ensure they are keeping up with notes, class assignments, and homework.
Email is the best way to contact me. I try to answer emails throughout the day, but please be patient. I am usually available after school for questions and tutoring (if necessary). Please do not hesitate to contact me or come see me for any questions!

New Grading Policy - High School Courses for Credit
60% Assessments (may include but not limited to unit tests, major assignments research papers, quizzes etc.)
40% Assignments (may include but not limited to daily works, bell ringers, etc.)
New Technology Policy
There will be no headphones or earbuds allowed in the school per district policy This is a Zero-Tolerance policy in my classroom, regardless of the situation.
