About me
I'm very excited that this will be my third year teaching at Grovetown High School!
I'm from Nashville, GA, a small country farming town with only 4 red lights in south GA, and been living in Augusta since 2015. I graduated from Mercer University in Macon, GA in 2015 with a Bachelors in Mathematics and I was pre-pa. I then came to Augusta for PA school at Augusta University and graduated in 2017 with a Masters of Physician Assistant. I met my now husband of four years, Nick, in Augusta, and we have 3 very spoiled fur babies! Jordy, our cuddly 7 yr old Shihpoo, Lilly, our crazy 5 yr old Shihtzu mix, and not pictured is Toby, our independent long haired orange cat. After working as a PA for a couple of years, I realized I missed math and enjoyed working with math more than science and medicine. Also, I enjoyed teaching when I helped my patients understand their health condition and medications better by explaining how it all worked. So in Jan. 2021 I started the Masters in Teaching program at Augusta University and I finished May 2023.
I am a proud dog mom. I love watching tv and movies, escape rooms (my husband and I have done about 30!), Broadway musicals, video games, fishing, scalloping, mudbogging, and sweets.
