About Me

My name is Kristen Brown and I am so excited for this school year! This is my 6th year teaching in Columbia County, and 10th overall. Teaching is my passion, and I enjoy being in the classroom everyday. My goal as an interrelated teacher is not only to help students reach the content, but to encourage them to apply their knowledge to think critically and logically about real-world situations and to advocate for themselves.

I am originally from a small town in Camden County, Georgia. After high school, I moved to Athens and graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) with a Bachelors degree in education. Later, I completed my Masters in education at Kennesaw State University. I am a super nerd and love anything Harry Potter, Marvel, and Disney. My husband and I have been married for 5 years and we have an amazing 2 year old daughter Nola Grace! We also have 3 fur babies: Lexi (11) a border collie/lab mix, Zoey (7) a shepherd mix, and Thor (5) a Tasmanian devil disguised as a husky.

My goal this year is to provide support and assistance to all of my students so that they can have a positive and successful learning experience. Together, we can all help the students be successful.

Please use this site for updates and as a resource on the events going on at Grovetown High and in Columbia County schools.

I am excited to be a part of your educational experience. Every student, every teacher, every day, the Warrior way!
